How can we inspire youth to move from a place of confusion into a place of urgency to invest in their skills that will equip them to create the future of livable society?
We shared the 10-week journey with 100+ students, 21 partners from NGOs, corporates, institutions and hundreds of curious people…
With the imece and their youth program imeceLAB open innovation program, we invited high school and university students to ideate around problems and develop projects towards creating solutions for social and environmental challenges around them. The very first challenge focused on smart and green mobility. In collaboration with high schools, universities, NGOs, municipalities, and students, we sought answers to the questions designated by several professionals. We call this impact-driven process Open Innovation Program that addresses relevant people with an open call, and that focuses on developing solutions with innovative methods and approaches. The 10-week process monitored through an online platform. We performed the pilot fieldwork while concentrating upon questions like these: How can we integrate bike lanes into these districts? Can we create shared transportation services? Or, can we design innovative mobile applications for transportation?
It was an amazing journey full of learnings, dreams, and curious minds. We organized different events during the program such as Kickoff Event, Partners Gathering, Project Showcase, Closing Event and met great people around these 3 questions;
