How can we create a safe space for the inhabitants of Beşiktaş to sincerely share their wishes and complaints about their neighborhoods?

As a proof of concept of our rollable garden, we organized a dinner event. The event flow was designed by Cross Change, SpaceCrafters, and Stipo based on the hosting methodology “Art of Hosting”.

We invited 35 inhabitants of different age groups and different socio-cultural and occupational backgrounds to participate in our event. Most of the participants were strangers to each other but at the event, our aim was to create an environment where they could get to know each other and through questions prepared by us create an opportunity to talk among each other about public space, its meaning, and wishes how it could and should function. 

We aimed at discovering what public space means for them and for their neighborhood.
