Future Shapers: Sensemaking and Holistic Design Thinking
It is a 4 weeks intense adult learning program. Through this program, participants went through a fruitful journey by visiting #futurethinking, #sensemaking, #speculativedesign, and #holisticthinking lands.
We shape the future with the decisions we make today and the dreams we have.
For a better future, we need to radically change the way we think about the present, according to the learnings of the past. Uncertainty is no longer a whirlpool that we escape from; It can turn into a creative and free space where dreams and possibilities take shape. By completing this program, participants will gain the skills to look at the events around them from different perspectives, interpret situations from new perspectives, and make more holistic and creative decisions.
Week 1
Sensemaking: “what’s in the core of your decisions?”
+ What is the main motivation at the center of any decision?
+ How does our main motivation affect our individual and corporate decisions?
+ How can we find the center of systemic structures?
Week 2
Think holistic: “Everything is connected”
+ How can we analyze the relationships between the factors that make up the abstract problems?
+ How can we explore the interrelationships of parts of a system?
+ How do our decisions affect systems made up of networks of relationships?
Week 3
Create loops: “Close the circle”
+ How can we imagine the effects of our decisions at different scales, such as our individual perspective or its position in the system?
+ How can we find the balance between personal motivation, corporate goals, and the future of the world during decision making?
+ How can we transform our mindset from a problem-solving reflex to a circular analysis habit?
Week 4
Restart: “Every end is a beginning”
+ By combining the first three weeks, we will do thought exercises together.
+ We will reflect on scenarios and observe how our decisions shape the future.
+ We will build cycles together to transform our own lives and our environment.
